Toddler Splash & Play is a lovely 5 week parent and Child swim class in Templemore sports complex. Lots of movement and building confidence in the water through songs, rhymes and games. This class is a completely child led focusing on fun, bonding and development. Your child will not learn to swim more about building confidence in the water and developing independence, social skills and having fun.

If your child enjoys their time in the water that's great. There's lots of benefits of having them in the water from an early age:
-It improves their balance, coordination and their motor skills
-A great time for you and your child to bond
improves their sleep -improves their appetite (all that splashing about is hard work)
Builds water confidence
Swimming strengthens their heart and lungs as well as arm, leg, and neck muscles. its like a full work out and great exercise - for them and for you in most classes!
Increases water confidence, self confidence and independence.
Most of all its a fun time for making lovely memories & quality time together.
The class takes place in Templemore Sports Complex, the pool is generally warm but occasionally may be cooler, to ensure child remains comfortable dress them in a warm or thermal swimsuit and swimming nappy.
Bring a large bath towel for your child, this can be left at poolside for easy access, if you wish it may be an idea to wrap towel in hot water bottle to keep it warmer (not essential)
Parents are advised to bring a large towel, robe or thermal wear for themselves to stay warm.
Going in dress yourself first then child. Coming out dress baby first then yourself.
You can bring child in pram.
you might want to bring a snack for afterwards.
A lift is available on ground floor to take you up to changing rooms on first floor, you may need to ask at reception for lift. you can use either ladies changing rooms or family changing whichever suits. lockers are available and a £1 coin is needed to lock it.
For the first week can I ask that we all meet in the ladies changing rooms & go into the pool together. If any Daddy's/male carers attending can meet us in the pool.
Try to be there 10mins early so we can be in the pool on time.
The sessions will last between 30-45mins but if you feel your child has had enough then that's fine too.
The class is very baby led with lots of songs and rhymes.
