No previous experience is necessary. This is an ideal starter course if you are completely new to carpentry, but also if you have some experience and want to learn more.
Ever wondered how to cut straight with a hand saw?? Learn to use a range of woodworking tools and techniques that will make woodworking a whole lot easier!
You will learn about some basic principles that are fundamental to all carpentry and joinery work, including learning to make and use a 'bridle' joint, which is one of a variety of wood working joints. You will also learn and practice the use of a variety of hand tools, like the chisel, different hand saws, combination square, sliding bevel and a variety of jigs.
All materials are included.

This event is for women only.
Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and wear sturdy shoes. Bring lunch and a water bottle. There will be tea making facilities and biscuits available.
