Spend some quality time together with your child or young person, learn basic carpentry techniques and tool use.
Doing something practical is so important for our mental well-being and creativity. It also teaches important life skills. In this workshop you will learn how to make a sweet dispenser from wood and a recycled glass jar. You and your child will learn how to mark out and saw wood, how to use a hand drill for making holes, a screwdriver and screws, and how to cut metal to connect the glass jar to it's base.
You will walk away with a finished sweet dispenser (sweets not included - choose your own healthy or sugary content!) and the plans in case you want to make another one at home.
The workshop ticket is for 2 people: one child or young person 8-16 years and one adult (no age limit!).
Level: intermediate, Beginner
Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and wear sturdy shoes. Bring a face mask (optional), and a snack including a water bottle or flask. There will be tea making facilities and biscuits available.
