The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is a two day course, which is always run on consecutive days, the day you are selecting is Day 1 (participants must complete both days to pass the course) typically each day is 09:00 to 17:00, with a break for lunch which is included within the cost.
The course is based mainly on the water, enhancing and teaching you everything you need to know to drive a powerboat safely. We also cover some basic navigation, weather and tides theory.
By the end of the two days you will have the skills and confidence to drive a powerboat.
All participants must be 14 years or older to participate on this course.
*Please note: This course is only for PYC Members.
As the course is mainly on the water you will need to have your own on water kit including Buoyancy Aid or Life Jacket.
You will need to bring a passport sized photo with you, this is needed before we can issue your license.
If you complete 8 duties for the club you are entitled to a part refund for your course.

You must have your duties signed off by the Lead Safety or Race Officer in your log book to receive this.
