A natural time of huge transition, the menopause (from peri to post) can impact us in many ways. A journey with many challenges but also a powerful opportunity to dive deeper into who we are, and be honest about our wants and needs.
What can we do to flow through this phase of our lives with as much ease as possible and embrace this time of personal growth?
Recognising and honouring the seasons of our life and trusting the process of change will help us greatly during this empowering journey. The physical symptoms of menopause are asking us to slow down, listen in, and be extremely kind to ourselves. Befriending our feelings, embracing the process and learning to love our changing bodies are vital. This is a time of healing, letting go of old ways of being and preparing to emerge as our true self.
This One Day Retreat offers a safe space to express yourself without judgement, share experiences, practice yoga sequences and self-care routines created especially for menopause (including use of essential oils, self massage, breathing practice and meditation), a talk by Nina Weatherill, from www.ninanutrition.com, on hormone balancing during peri/menopause, a walk and outdoor meditation in the magical Avebury landscape, and plenty of time to reflect and set intentions (bring your journal!). We'll finish our day with Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
A seasonal, freshly prepared lunch and herbal teas are also included. As well as a take-home information/goodie pack, including nutritional advice and recipes from Nina, helpful self-care tips, resources and further reading recommendations.
I strongly believe that by connecting with others on the same journey, reflecting on and sharing our experiences, we can support and inspire each other during this transformative journey. This One Day Retreat is for anyone moving through or preparing for any stage of the menopause.
EMBRACING THE MENOPAUSE
Groups are small, with lots of space and personal attention. No experience is necessary and beginners are very welcome.
Please make sure you wear something comfortable and bring plenty of layers (warm socks, extra top, blanket and suitable footwear), plus a journal and pen. Yoga mats are available to use.
