Today we celebrate Summer's height, Midsummer, the longest day and the shortest night of the solar year. A fiery, fertile, exuberant, passionate time, a celebration of the power of the sun. This is the time to count our blessings, celebrate our achievements and all that we are.
I look forward to welcoming you at the farm to celebrate Summer Solstice. This is a wonderful time to connect with nature and the sun's energy. An opportunity to pause, look back on our journey since the Winter Solstice and to consider what we wish to nurture and develop during the coming months.
This retreat day will feature a summer flow yoga practice including many variations on sun salutations, a silent walk through the Avebury landscape, breathing practice and meditation (hopefully outdoors!), time to reflect and set intentions (please bring your journal!), and a luxuriously long relaxation. Fresh herbal teas and home made treats are also included.
I love celebrating the seasons. Recognising and honouring the changes in nature always encourage me to adjust my own rhythms accordingly. Moving with the energy of the Earth feels beneficial on many levels and definitely helps my day to day life flow with more ease. Celebrating special occasions with like minded people is always a powerful experience, it would be lovely to have you with us!
Groups are small, with lots of space and personal attention. No experience is necessary and beginners are very welcome.
Please make sure you wear something comfortable and bring plenty of layers (extra top, blanket and suitable footwear for our walk), plus a journal and pen. Yoga mats are available to use.
