The theme this year is “Challenging the Myths of Domestic Abuse”
The conference will challenge and explore the facts and myths.
Hearing from survivors and practitioners and exploring how churches can recognise, respond assist, and encourage those affected by Domestic Abuse.
It will provide an opportunity to view artwork created by Survivors, interact with National and Local support Organisations in a market place and question our Key note speakers
Including Dr Maryyum Mehmood, Research and Policy Advisor (Spiritual Abuse Lead) to the Domestic Abuse Commissioner of England and Wales.
Maryyum is a Research and Policy Advisor at the Office of the Domestic Abuse Commissioner of England and Wales. Her area of specialism covers societally marginalised groups, and she leads on the Office’s work on spiritual or faith-based abuse, ‘honour’-based violence, harmful practices and international affairs.
