Join us and experience our facilities for free on our… “Try Sailing Day”.... At Thornton Steward Sailing Club, near Bedale, North Yorkshire HG4 4BQ
Visit the club to see our great facilities any time between 10:00-4:00pm on 26th April, if you would like to try out sailing and conditions permitting...Our qualified instructors will take you out in one of our club craft to give you a feel for thrill of sailing.
To avoid disappointment sailing slots must be reserved and can be booked here free of charge throughout the day, but must be reserved in advance.
Sailing events are always subject to weather conditions....Too much or Too little wind or inclement weather will determine if water activities can take place.
You should come prepared to get wet! Suitable boating clothing, ideally a wetsuit is preferred (we have a limited supply of loan wetsuits available), wet boots or water shoes/trainers that will get wet.
Changing facilities are available on site, a buoyancy aid will be provided, you should arrive approx. 30 minutes ahead of your timed sailing slot, to allow time for a safety briefing and kitting up. Take the opportunity to see our clubhouse and facilities.
Our small Galley offers hot/cold drinks and snacks that can be purchased throughout the day
Attached to your confirmation e mail, will be a Booking Consent form. Please complete and e mail to the address marked, prior to 26th April, we are required to record this data for health and safety assessment, but data will be destroyed after the event in line with GDPR.
