New to Yoga? This class is for you. 😊 Beginner classes are designed specifically to provide extra guidance and explanation.

You will learn:

  • Yoga breathwork (Pranayama)
  • How to perform beginner yoga poses (Asanas)
  • Proper alignment and movement techniques
  • How to modify for injuries, inflexibility or other conditions that limit movement
  • How and why to use yoga blocks and straps

What is Flow Yoga?

Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes are both a physical challenge and a moving meditation. We start with yogic breathwork (pranayama) and warm up our bodies with gentle movements. We then move into a more rigorous flow where we connect our breath with our movement through various yoga postures. We then wind down with relaxing postures and deep rest.

  • πŸ’• This is a beginner level class. No yoga experience is required. However, please note that a reasonable level of fitness is required for these classes. You should be able to walk briskly for a mile and go up and down stairs without difficulty. Flexibility is NOT a requirement, rather it is one of the benefits gained by practicing yoga. 😊

  • Modifications are offered for different abilities and those with conditions and injuries.

  • This is a strength-based style of yoga so expect to sweat. At the end of class, you will leave feeling challenged and energised, yet also calm and centred.

  • With regular attendance you can expect to feel stronger and more flexible, to have better balance and to learn mindfulness tools to manage stress.

If you expect to miss a class, please email info@twistandblissyoga.com and we can arrange for you to attend class on another day to make up for the missed class. Make-up classes are based on availability and are not guaranteed.

Please note: there will be no classes 6 & 20 May and during Gala Week, 10 - 15 June 2024.

Instructions

Students should arrive 10 minutes early and bring their own yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks and a yoga strap.

To avoid disrupting class, late arrivals will not be admitted.

Please notify your instructor prior to class if you have a new injury or condition so safe modifications can be provided.
