Join us for a unique workshop to create your very own besom broom and delve into the fascinating heritage and folklore surrounding this timeless tool. 🧙‍♀️

Primarily used for sweeping autumn leaves off lawns, the besom broom also carries rich associations with witches, witchcraft, and Halloween traditions...perfect for propping against your doorway or hearth, decorated with string lights . 🎃✨

The workshop is on
Saturday 19th October 10am -3.30pm .

Your tutor Heather McDermott will guide you through the various practical processes including carving and whittling your own broom stick using locally foraged, sustainable, coppiced, birch and rowan....the use of axes, whittling tools and firepits as well the application of special salves alleged to have protective qualities, warding off negative energy or spirits from your homes!! 🏠
