Vocabulary - closing the word gap

This practical training will show how KS1 and KS2 students can enlarge their vocabulary and get involved in noticing, understanding, and using new words. Grounded in research and honed by classroom experience, this training explains how to select words for instruction, introduce their meanings, and create engaging learning activities that promote both word knowledge and reading comprehension. The training will include presentations and resources to allow participants to easily share their knowledge with colleagues at school.
