Wild Elements Yoga Retreat & Nature Immersion for Women

Friday, 16 July '21   3 days
Fully booked

Details

After an amazing weekend in May, Jill and Jesse are teaming up once again with Chef Kirsty McCulloch to bring you this UK summer retreat for Women.

This gathering is inspired by nature and the elements, and set in the magical grounds of Wasing Woodlands over three days and two nights. We invite you into our world of woodland walks, nourishing soul food, energising juices, song and campfires, and of course, specially curated yoga practices to enjoy the journey of our bodies, minds and hearts as we come together to explore the aliveness of the Summer season.

This is a Women only retreat, welcoming an all-elements connection to nature, and weaving deep care for our health and wellbeing through loving practices, plus time to reconnect to ourselves and community. We have the addition of an amazing new yoga practice space on the lake, ideal for cool morning and evening classes. Maybe you'll find yourself drawn to the Scandanavian sauna, or be enticed towards a wild swim in the lake under the influence of July's first quarter moon!

Along with a warm and enlivening presence, Jesse and Jill offer an abundance of practices, including slow somatic Scaravelli yoga, Yoni Shakti inspired practices which support Women's intuitive wisdom, dynamic flow yoga, and immersive practices like forest bathing, meditation and mantra.

Our bellies and digestion will be looked after with a sattvic, seasonally sensitive blend of vegan and vegetarian delights to our lips, and taking care of the all-important afternoon tea and cake.

Your accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner, unlimited teas and coffees are fully catered for, including lunch on our final day, as are your twice daily yoga practices and an exclusive welcome care package.

The retreat venue is a beautiful woodland location set in Berkshire (45 miles from London) and offers luxury bell tent accommodation, as well as 6 twin rooms in our rustic farm-house for your rest and reconnection.

Bell Tents - Set with twin beds, for solo or twin occupancy, with memory foam mattresses, all bedding and linen supplied, side table and night light. We have three outdoor compost loos and three hand-made copper woodland showers. We love this option for reclaiming our connection to nature, while adding a sprinkle of comfort to your camping experience.

Home Farm House - A rustic farm house with large shares kitchen, lounge with plenty of room to kick back and relax, separate dining room and large private back garden. The farm house comprises 6 bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, and there are three additional shared bathrooms. En-suite and solo occupancy are available for an additional supplement.

We know that safety is still high on everyone’s agenda at the moment, so being outdoors will infuse our time together with plenty of fresh air and freedom. Please read and digest the below details, along with T's and C's and Covid notes, and then click through to book online. Contact Jill with any questions at wellbeing@wasing.co.uk.

Terms, Conditions & Covid Statement

11.06.2021

In running any events, retreats or classes this year, covid-safety is still at the forefront of all of our minds. We are embracing both the uncertainty of another year, and the responsiveness, agility and understanding needed to bring people together in a connecting, nourishing yet safe way.

Should the health landscape change, there will be a chance that the event has to be cancelled. At the time of writing here is the lay of the land envisaged for this retreat experience, and associated terms of booking. What to expect:

  1. The Accommodation:

Woodland Bell Tents
There are 17 luxury, furnished bell-tents in the woodland venue, prepped with fresh linen and bath towel for your stay, giving an al-fresco, close to nature experience with maximum comfort. There are no single supplements on this retreat should you wish to have your own bell-tent.
• 3 x compost loos and 3 x outdoor hot showers a few moments’ walk

Home Farm House
A rustic farm house with large shared kitchen, lounge with plenty of room to kick back and relax, separate dining room and large private back garden. The farm house comprises 6 bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, and there are three additional shared bathrooms. En-suite and solo occupancy are available for an additional supplement.

Rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Maximum overall retreat capacity 20.

  1. Shared Bathrooms and Hygiene:
Bathroom facilities for retreaters during the day and for those in bell tents overnight are three wooden outdoor compost loos. There are rules for their proper use shared on site. It is the nature of outdoor compost loos to have a little sawdust and other outdoor debris around. Our on-site woodland caretaker will be checking and maintaining regular sweeping and cleaning of these facilities during your stay for comfort.

  2. Attending solo or in household bubbles
On booking you will be asked to note names of any other attendees in your bubble and make requests for room shares or single occupancy.

In addition please read through the following conditions of booking & attendance – you will be asked to confirm your agreement to this on booking:

  1. Dining
During shared meal-times the dining tables will be set in a way that will allow for sufficient distancing from other households.

  2. Practicing (Yoga, Outdoor Activities etc)
We will have a large undercover outdoor yoga practice space, which can comfortably accommodate up to 30 people with mats 1.5 metres apart. At the time of writing, we are planning to limit total attendees to 20 for our safety and comfort. Attendees are asked to bring their own mat wherever possible. Currently no props or equipment are provided by us. We recommend you bring a cosy blanket or two, eye pillow, and other props you like to practice with. Some props and equipment may be available, subject to our risk assessments which will be confirmed closer to the event start date as current restrictions are understood.

As the event is taking place outdoors, we ask that you come prepared with layers, cosy and waterproof, so that we can explore the woodlands and ground together and enjoy whatever the elements have to throw at us.

  1. Additional Covid Agreements
6.1 Only come if you are feeling healthy and well, and have not been experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19.
6.2 If you have experienced any COVID Symptoms you should ensure a period of self-isolation of 14 days has passed before the event start date.
6.3 Only come if you do not have someone vulnerable or isolating in your household or social bubble (the group of people with whom you have close physical contact).
