Samphire Hoe Guided Bird Walk

Details

As part of the 'Big Kent Bird Migration Day', the Samphire Hoe team, in collaboration with the Kent Ornithological Society, will be offering a FREE guided bird walk around the site.

Whether you are a beginner bird watcher or a seasoned twitcher, this walk offers a unique opportunity to discover the fascinating journeys undertaken by migrating birds.

The Hoe will be the central site for the day where bird sightings will be collated. Visitors will be able to watch licenced ringers from the East Kent Wildlife Group process any birds caught on site, and learn about the different journeys that birds migrating to/from/through Kent are making. There will also be an exhibition on bird migration in the Education Shelter.

The walk will last approximately 1 – 1.5 hours. The walk is wheelchair/pram friendly. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
