Honister Heights (Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Green Gable, Great Gable).
Summer must be here at some point right?
These guided walks see us working our way through the Wainwright's and other peaks of the Lake District. This particular route takes the classic Great Gable in, with a nice high start from Honister Slate Mine.
Whether it's to just have a walk and enjoy the scenery, or learn some new skills along the way, these days are guaranteed to keep your fitness up.
Today we tackle Great Gable, Green Gable, Brandreth and Grey Knotts.
Please meet at the National Trust Car Park Honister.
I have a Black Volvo XC60, or if Jules is guiding she has a Nissan Qashqai, YC19 SFT
There is no signal - please get in touch at least 45 minutes prior to arrival time to ensure contacting us.
You MUST bring the following;
Rucksack 20-30l
Hydration bladder or bottle with 2 litre of fluid
Gloves
Hat
Warm layer (fleece or primaloft)
Waterproof jacket AND trousers
Lunch and snacks
You MAY also/alternatively bring;
Walking Poles
Sunhat
Flask
Suncream
Sunglasses
Extra gloves
Sit mat
Head torch (depending time of year)
Camera
Phone
Sweets for us!
This route should be walked wearing walking boots, or very good mountain approach shoes. trainers are not suitable for this walk.
