Guided Tour of Windmill Market Garden

Have you ever wondered where we grow the veg for our regular veg bags, have you heard about our wonderful wildlife pond and seen the Buzzards circling or wondered where we keep our bee hives?
We are opening the doors to our Market Garden on Saturday 6th June for two guided tours by one of our Head Growers Joe, this will be an hour session with an opportunity to learn about the history of the Market Garden and to hear about our future plans, and an opportunity to answer any questions.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a working site and the ground is uneven, this unfortunately means that it is not accessible for all (if you have access needs and need to know further information before booking please email martina@windmillcommunitygardensmargate.com)
Please refrain from walking on our growing areas and stick to our paths, children are welcome but must remain with their parents/carers and remain their responsibility.
Please do not pick any produce/fruit or vegetables.
Dogs are not permitted onsite

This tour will be held at our Market Garden, located behind Drapers Mill Primary School,
End of St Peters Footpath, Margate, CT9 3RU

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
You can reach us with bus number 34 and the stop is located on Upper Dane Road near Fitzroy Avenue. Then walk up the footpath by the allotments towards Drapers Mill School
PARKING:
There is no onsite parking but there is FREE parking on St Peters Footpath or Dane Valley Road (then follow the path by the allotments by foot up to the Market Garden Site)
BIKES and BUGGIES
These can be stored onsite, please ask a member of staff where best to store these.
