Liberate your Spine: A Somatic Approach to Pain-Free Movement

Saturday, 24 January '26   9:30am – 12:30pm GMT
Shirley House, 31 Psalter Lane, Nether Edge, Sheffield, S11 8YL
15 spaces available

Details

The spine is our body’s central support system—connecting the skeleton, protecting the spinal cord, and allowing us to move with ease. When our awareness is low or our movement patterns are unbalanced, the spine can be pulled out of alignment, leading to stiffness, instability, and even chronic pain.

This workshop offers simple, effective ways to support a healthy, well-functioning spine and ease existing discomfort. We’ll explore basic spinal anatomy and its four key movements, then use gentle Somatic exercises to restore awareness, rebalance the muscles of the trunk, and reconnect the spine with the whole body.
Suitable for all, but if you would like to speak to me about suitability of the workshop for you, please get in touch.

Instructions

Attendees will need to bring your own Yoga or exercise mat and blanket.
Teas will be provided for the break half way through the workshop.
