The Wanderer National Championship Races are to be sailed for the WCOA Ian Proctor trophy, The Gavin Barr trophy, the WCOA Shepherd Runner-Up trophy, the first all-female boat, the Start as You Mean to Go On cannon, and other prizes.
The Nationals follow the WandererEast cruising event, 30th August - 1st September, cruising from Whitstable YC in the Swale estuary and creeks. WandererEast participants are welcome to enter for the Nationals.
Evening Meal options: Scandinavian style salmon with potatoes and cucumber pickles; Finnish chicken meatballs with creamy sauce and mash plus greens; mushroom and barley risotto with lemony tender stem brocolli. Dessert: summer berry cream gateau.

Parking is available in a few public car parks, the closest long stay is Gorrell Tank car park - turn left out the harbour to the traffic lights turn right then left. £3.10 per hour - 5 min walk back to the club. Or go a little further and park by the station for £4.50 all day (20 minute walk).A free alternative is finding a back street around the Gorrell tank, any of these roads - Westgate Terrace, Reservoir road, Westmeads road, Cromwell road, Woodlawn street or Sydenham Street. By train: Turn left onto Railway avenue, walk down Cromwell road turn left at the end into the harbour, follow instructions below.
By Bus: There is a few bus stops in close proximity, but Whitstable habour is the best one. Follow instructions below.
Please get directions to Whitstable harbour and walk around the back (the sea side) past the RNLI building (black and red), turning left to follow the path a short to the main club building (white).
For training courses only: The classroom is in the black building to the left of the club house with steps going over the sea wall, between the RNLI and main club house.
Your instructors will on the balcony awaiting your arrival, if they are not there then please go through the sail loft to the classroom.
