The event is open to Dart 18 catamarans and B14 dinghies.

B14 members of Whitstable Yacht Club and visiting boats may take part in the Open event subject to being members of the relevant Class Association. B14 members of WYC competing in the Open event will be given temporary Class Association membership for the event.

Entrants shall complete an online entry form and the Declaration.

Instructions

Introduction:

WYC are delighted to welcome back the B14 fleet and the fleet of Dart 18s (with different starts for each fleet). We will try not to cap numbers!

The club will be open for visitors to arrive on Friday afternoon. There will be campervan spaces available on Beach Walk in an exclusive area. Saturday, fish & chips will be available followed by a live band "The Dead Pelicans" with hospitality second to none. TO SELECT A CAMPERVAN PARKING SPACE OR FISH AND CHIP SUPPER - PLEASE PRESS THE "SELECT MORE" BUTTON.

Travelling by Car: Please do not use the club post code it takes you the wrong side of the club, down a dead end road. Use the harbour post code: CT5 1AB or What three words location: Cycle.mysteries.envoy
Parking is available in a few public car parks, the closest long stay is Gorrell Tank car park - turn left out the harbour to the traffic lights turn right then left. £3.10 per hour - 5 min walk back to the club. Or go a little further and park by the station for £4.50 all day (20 minute walk).A free alternative is finding a back street around the Gorrell tank, any of these roads - Westgate Terrace, Reservoir road, Westmeads road, Cromwell road, Woodlawn street or Sydenham Street. By train: Turn left onto Railway avenue, walk down Cromwell road turn left at the end into the harbour, follow instructions below.

By Bus: There is a few bus stops in close proximity, but Whitstable habour is the best one. Follow instructions below.

Please get directions to Whitstable harbour and walk around the back (the sea side) past the RNLI building (black and red), turning left to follow the path a short to the main club building (white).
For training courses only: The classroom is in the black building to the left of the club house with steps going over the sea wall, between the RNLI and main club house.
Your instructors will on the balcony awaiting your arrival, if they are not there then please go through the sail loft to the classroom.
