This workshop is designed to help you to safely explore and develop your inversion practice whether you are just getting started or looking to refine your technique
Join Christie to learn how to safely work towards Headstand, Forearm Balance , Handstand and Shoulderstand and gain confidence going upside down !
We will breakdown the foundations, alignment and components of each pose ; practice drills to engage the correct muscles; learn how to adapt the postures for your body; and learn safe ways of getting in and out of the poses .
Expect a supportive , step by step approach with plenty of options, modifications and hands on guidance
Suitable for students with a minimum of 6 months regular practice (NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS)
Functional yoga clothing is stretchy, breathable, and somewhat form-fitting. Find something you are comfortable in that keeps your attention on your practice instead of adjusting your outfit.
Bring a bottle of water with you. You can refill it here.
Bring a large towel (bath size) for your class to cover your mat and to make a comfortable headrest.
Any yoga props you would like to bring, we provide blocks, bricks, straps, bolster and blankets.
Bring a yoga mat. If you don't have one, there are 'Yogamatters' mats available to purchase here.
