If you are looking to stretch and relax your body, and to soothe and calm the mind, then Yin Yoga is the perfect practice!

A Yin Yoga practice is mostly floor based with passive positions that are held for longer periods of time. The focus is on working the connective tissues of the body: tendons, ligaments and fascia, rather than the muscles. We use props such as bolsters, blocks and blankets to support the body, allowing it to find points of resistance and then to further release.

The aim of Yin Yoga is to increase circulation, joint strength and mobility, and increase the overall flexibility of the body. By encouraging us to find stillness, it allows us to connect with feelings in the physical body, to quieten the mind, let go of tension and relax. An evening of Yin Yoga is the perfect way to unwind at the end of the week.

Instructions

The studio is fully equipped but do feel free to bring extra blankets and mats if you would like

To find our beautiful space please walk by the side of the Institute Building with Cheadle Green on your right. you will find us towards the back of the building on the left.

Parking is only available on site after 5.30pm and at weekends. We are a moment away from 3 Carparks. The biggest being Massie Street.
