Come as you are: Yoga Lunch

Details

Hello, we are Grace and Aimée! Our goal is to create a friendly, welcoming community for people to connect with themselves, each other and eat some nutritious and delicious food.

Come as you are!

One of our key goals with our events is to create a space where people feel safe to show up as they are. Feel free to use this space to express any and every part of yourself that you maybe don’t feel there is space to in day to day life. Sometimes with yoga people feel they need to wear the ‘right’ clothes to take part. We really want to push the fact that that is not the case with our events. For us, inclusivity is at the root of why we have created these events. Come in whatever makes you feel most you (and comfortable when moving your body).

Please also message us ahead of the event if you have any questions or concerns.

About Grace
I am a self taught vegan chef and baker with a wealth of experience working in kitchens in both the UK and the United States. I have also hosted supper clubs, facilitated workshops, catered retreats and designed menus for a busy cafe. I recently started a baking business but love nothing more than holding events that enable people to share a meal around a table.

About Aimée
I am an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher. My primary focus is creating a safe space for people to show up as they are. I am fascinated by the workings of the human body including anatomy, the mind-body connection and the science of breathing. I am constantly learning and love using this knowledge base to support and empower my students to cultivate a practice that works for them.

Yoga with Aimée
This class will take inspiration from the Ashtanga primary series, incorporating asana (postures) to build both strength and flexibility. You will be guided through breathing exercises followed by sun salutations and sections of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary series. This will conclude with asana designed to slow the breath and recenter.

Suitable for beginners or to support those with an established practice.

Journaling section
Aimée will bring along some journal prompts which will support you to reflect on anything that came up for you in the Yoga practice. We can often jump from our yoga practice straight back into our busy lifestyles so this section will offer time to sit with anything that the yoga practice may have brought up for you.
Journaling is optional, you can just use this time to sit and reflect or have a tea and a natter with the wonderful people you will be sharing space with.

Lunch with Grace
Grace has put together a nourishing menu filled with seasonal ingredients. This picnic style meal will be self service style and you can sit on tables or blankets and cushions around the room - whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Both Grace and Aimée will join for lunch and welcome any questions you may have about yoga and food.

We can’t wait to see you there!
