Hello Everyone,
Are you a black mum who has experienced psychosis after giving birth? Did you need support with this? Did you find it difficult to speak up about it and worried about what other people or friends and family might say or think? Would you like to receive support and connect and talk with other Black mums? Then please, join us at our friendly, online cafe group.
Come and join the group with Rachel, APP's peer support facilitator, and other peer support volunteers, all who are black mums who have recovered from postpartum psychosis and now support others.
It’s a safe, relatable place to share experiences, make new friends, take time for yourself and have a talk. Whether you’ve just experienced postpartum psychosis or if you have had it many years ago, support from others who have 'been there' too is so important. The group also promotes removing the stigma around mental health and encourages talking about the struggles we face as black mothers with postpartum psychosis.
You can read more here about what to expect at the group.

If you would like to chat with Rachel, or get more information about the group, please email: rachelr@app-network.org
We close bookings two days in advance of the group meeting in order to connect with people before they join. If bookings are closed and you'd like to attend please email app@app-network.org
If you are not a black mother but still looking for support, we run other meet-ups too, see our peer support web page for the latest dates. https://www.app-network.org/get-help/peer-support-for-postpartum-psychosis/
