Join us for our next big adventure as we turn Base Camp into a lakeside laboratory! We’re heading to the water’s edge to uncover the hidden world beneath the surface before mastering the "physics" of the woodland with our very own bubbles.
• Pond Dipping Expedition: Grab a net and see what’s swimming! We’ll be identifying the incredible creatures that call our lake home.
• The Science of Bubbles: Become a bubble expert as we investigate different solutions and learn the secrets behind the perfect "pop."
• Willow Wand Workshop: Weave willow to craft our own handmade bubble wand.
• Take the Magic Home: Our custom willow wand is ours to keep so we can continue the fun in our own garden!
What to bring info…
We can't wait to welcome you to Base Camp. To keep your child happy and dry in the woods, please send them with the following:
All seasons
Clothing: Long-sleeved tops and full-length trousers are required to protect against nettles, scratches, and ticks - tracksuit bottoms or leggings are perfect.
Think like an onion! Multiple thin layers (thermal, fleece, jacket) are better than one big coat.
Footwear:
Waterproof wellies or sturdy walking boots are essential.
In Their Backpack:
A change of clothes (extra socks are a must!).
Waterproof jacket and trousers (even on dry days!).
A labelled water bottle, sun hat/sunscreen (summer), or warm hat/gloves (winter).
Packed Lunch (we provide drinks and snacks)
Top Tip: We love mud and adventure! Please send your child in old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or snagged.
