We’re heading out on an epic journey this Easter, venturing across our incredible parkland on a mission to track down egg-citing clues and uncover hidden treasures.
Our morning is all about discovery and teamwork. We’ll set off as a group to navigate the landscape, keeping our eyes peeled as we wander through the bluebell-drenched woodlands, discover prehistoric landmarks, gather beneath ancient oaks and stroll by the ornamental lake through our friendly flock of sheep.
Every clue we find together brings us one step closer to our Easter treats! It’s a morning for us to breathe the fresh air, test our problem-solving skills, and enjoy the great outdoors as one big team of explorers.
As ever lunch is more than just a break—it’s an adventure of its own! Scramble over our two giant fallen trees or play an epic game of hide-and-seek. For those who want to test their balance, the slackline is ready in the woods, or of you prefer a quieter moment – swing in the hammock listening to the birds.
After our big quest, we’ll head into the Forest School circle with Myra. Since it’s nesting season, we’re focusing on the birds that call these woods home. We’ll be crafting together using natural materials to create nest-inspired art, learning skills like whittling and weaving to make our own bird-themed treasures, as well as listening to the birds as we learn how to support and care for our feathered friends during this important season.
We can't wait to welcome you to Base Camp. To keep your child happy and dry in the woods, please send them with the following:
All seasons
Clothing: Long-sleeved tops and full-length trousers are required to protect against nettles, scratches, and ticks - tracksuit bottoms or leggings are perfect.
Think like an onion! Multiple thin layers (thermal, fleece, jacket) are better than one big coat.
Footwear:
Waterproof wellies or sturdy walking boots are essential.
In Their Backpack:
A change of clothes (extra socks are a must!).
Waterproof jacket and trousers (even on dry days!).
A labelled water bottle, sun hat/sunscreen (summer), or warm hat/gloves (winter).
Packed Lunch (we provide drinks and snacks)
Top Tip: We love mud! Please send your child in old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or snagged.
