Details

Our curators are "story tellers" who bring the story behind the evolution of the grain industry and the experience of early pioneers to life. They will take you back in time through working models, historic photos, artifacts, videos and more. The quality of the presentation is first class - in keeping with the highest standards set by the Calgary Stampede in all its initiatives and partnerships.

Students can watch a video depicting how the prairies were settled, watch a working grain elevator demonstration and view the world's largest model train display showing the movement of grain from the prairie to the terminals at Vancouver.

Besides giving people the facts about how much and what kind of grains are grown in Canada, visitors learn that some 90 nations buy grain from Canada, and they get to see an array of products derived from grain.

Other displays include everything from barbed wire types to wheat straw weaving, pioneer farm tools and various models of farm implements.

Please note that parents must attend with their child.
