A chance for you and baby to move, relax and breath together. These classes will help you safely build up your strength after birth, and cope with the physical demands of life with a small baby. They are also a great way to meet up with other parents with babies from nearby. There is always time to chat at each class.
Baby stays with you on your yoga mat, and we aim to keep them engaged while you stretch, move and relax. We sing, use rhymes, and move together with baby, so you remain in contact with each other, and baby feels secure throughout.
You can join Yoga With Baby classes once you have had your postnatal check with the GP (usually at 6-8 weeks) and been given the go ahead to exercise again.
Yoga mat provided if required.
These classes are bookable in advance as a block of 6. If you are unable to attend one week, you are welcome to "gift" your place to a friend with baby, although I will need to have their name and contact details in advance. (You may also be able to attend one of my other classes that week if a space is available.) There are also options to view an online recording of a class.
To bring with you to class: a blanket for baby to lie on, maybe a favourite toy for baby, any cushions/blocks you think you might need. Bring your own yoga mat if you wish, or I can provide one for you. Please wear clothes you can comfortably move in - leggings and a t-shirt would be fine.
Please arrive in good time for the class start time if you can. (I also understand that this is not always possible when you share your life with a baby, so please know that if you are having a tough morning, you are always welcome in class whenever you can make it there!)
Prams and buggies: these can be left inside the hallway, just outside the room we use.
Please let me know if you are unable to attend a class.
If you are unable to attend one week, you are welcome to "gift" your place to a friend with baby, although I must have their name and contact details (email or mobile number) in advance. I cannot offer refunds for missed classes.
