Celtic Roots Yoga with Emma Jane

My yoga journey started 5 years ago. I started attending classes at a time when I needed to find a sanctuary. I needed to find myself, re-build my life and improve my health.
I was uncertain how I would fit into a yoga class. I didnt have any of the attributes I associated with yoga students. Walking into my first class, taking a place on a mat in a full class was terrifying, but I did it. I found I enjoyed it. Being on the mat was time out just for me. No demands, no pressure, no stress, just time to really connect with myself. I found that yoga was also a positive tool for me to manage chronic pain from endometriosis, fibromyalgia and lower back injury.
My main work is within the NHS, as a clinician I am passionate about delivering holistic, person-centred and empathic care which is replicated in my yoga work. I have delivered women's health clinics for almost 20 years and throughout this time have completed training in menopause management and I am looking forward to integrating this into my yoga classes. I have an interest in improving vagal nerve function allowing the body to rest and digest - a weekly re-set, which supports women's health.
I feel it is important that yoga is accessible to everyone and I particularly enjoy welcoming people who have felt they may not fit in, are not fit enough or flexible enough, to my classes.
The space I hold is non-judgemental, inclusive and supportive. I aim to empower you to explore yoga practice working with your body to meet your goals.
