It’s October 2024 in a sleepy English village. 82-year-old Margaret Ellison is found dead in her detached bungalow. A much-loved and well-known member of the local community, Margaret’s death sends shockwaves through the village. The cause? Blunt force trauma to the head. At first, it looks like a burglary gone horribly wrong. Several drawers have been left open. Jewellery is missing.

But there’s something that doesn’t quite add up as there are no obvious signs of a break-in.
