Would you know what to do in a first aid emergency? Why not come and learn essential first aid skills...the 2 hour baby and child classes are suitable for parents of children of any age (birth to puberty) as well as expectant parents, grandparents, the extended family and friends (anyone who looks after your child).
In 2 hours we will cover:
- dealing with an emergency (recovery positions, CPR, choking)
- injuries and accidents (head injuries, fractures, poisons, burns, bleeding)
- awareness of childhood conditions (meningitis, allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, febrile convulsions)
The classes are small, friendly and informal, and designed to give you all the information in an easy to absorb way. There are no tests, buts lots of chances to ask questions and practice first aid skills. The aim is to build your confidence so that you know what to do in an emergency.
Accredited by the CPD standards office and worth two hours of CPD points.
Pre booking is essential due to limited spaces.
£25 per person (Babies under 12 months are welcome in the class with you).
You will receive meningitis and Sepsis symptom cards to take away with you.
Other merchandise will be available to purchase on the day; Paediatric first aid manual (£5), Travel first aid kit (£15), Choking treatment fridge magnet (£2) and CPR face shield key ring (£2)
We can also deliver these sessions in the comfort of your own home (for groups of 4 or more people)
