Mrs Owl's Forest School

I am an experienced Forest School Leader and Primary School Teacher. I also have 22 years’ experience of working with children and have a First Aid Certificate.
Each session is 100% child led with lots of props and activities set up around the woodland. This allows children to go off and follow their own interests, will they choose to climb a tree, balance on the climbing ropes, swing in the swings, dig for treasure, hunt for bugs, use tools or watch the birds? The only thing stopping them is their imagination. There will also be opportunities for the children to join in with making natural crafts.
I offer a relaxed, informal environment where children lead, and parents breathe! This provides a no pressure environment where children can be with others or be alone and parents can step back from their busy lives and be at one with nature.

FOREST SCHOOL 🌲
Forest School allows all children from very small to use real equipment like hammers, saws, trowels, potato peelers and rakes as well as learning new skills like climbing trees, balancing on logs, hunting for bugs and being near a campfire. Everything can be played with and explored safely if fully supervised by their accompanying adult. This allows children to learn through play, develop new skills, discover how to be safe and build resilience.

SUITABLE CLOTHING 🧥
Please ensure both you and your child is dressed for the weather, we suggest layers, long sleeves and biting insect spray during the summer months. Crawling/Cruising children not yet wearing shoes, we suggest an all-in-one waterproof suit and waterproof booties. We understand wellies can be difficult to walk in when you are very little and just learning to walk so a pair of trainers might be more suitable (preferably ones that can be put in washing machine) as some days it can be muddy.

CAMPFIRE BRUNCH 🥘
I offer a complimentary vegan friendly, egg and nut free campfire brunch in your ticket price at Mrs Owl’s Forest School.

REFUNDS/TRANSFERS
Sessions cancelled due to extreme weather will be fully refunded how you paid. I understand that things come up and you may not be able to attend a session so you can transfer your booked session up to 24hrs before. Unfortunately, I do not offer transfers or refunds if you cannot attend on the day.

DOGS 🐶
Dogs are not permitted to attend our Forest school sessions.

Parking
Parking is free at Chanterelle car park.
