The way a plant tastes can tell us some of the ways it will interact with and have effect upon our bodies. In this class we will taste the plants and discuss what that tells us about their medicine and nourishment. Then focus on the taste of bitters and their effect upon our liver, digestion, nervous system, hormones, immune system, pancreas, metabolism, channels of elimination and more! Students will have the opportunity to craft their own bitter remedies. We will meet and harvest at least a few of the bitter plant friends we learn about.
