Come explore the Kickapoo Valley for the variety of wild edible plants that are abundantly producing in the spring time. With the timing of this class we will learn many greens great for salads and cooked dishes, some early edible flowers, shoots, and a few roots too.

This class is for those new to foraging and those with some experience too. We will look at familiar backyard plants, various invasives, and some abundant native plants that offer us spring's nutritious bounty! Class includes an all wild lunch.

Instructions

Students should bring $5 for a day pass at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.

Students, also please bring: a shovel of your preference, notebook and pencil, a couple of gathering bags, and appropriate clothing for being out in woods and weather.
