Join long-time orchardist Rikardo Jahnke in this interactive class to learn how to start your own orchard. Elements of the class will be the planning stage (including site selection, varieties and tree size), the planting year (planting schemes and soil preparation), early orchard protection, early training, tools and materials and more. Plenty of room will be given for questions, and students are encouraged to cater the experience to their specific interests in starting their own fruit orchard. A tour of Eve's Orchard will flush out the narrative.
