Althorp Nature Explorers

🌿 Althorp Nature Explorers

Althorp Nature Explorers is the Forest School within The Althorp Partnership of Primary Schools, offering seasonal stay-and-play sessions designed for little ones and their grown-ups to explore, play, and connect with nature together.

Our sessions are relaxed, welcoming, and child-led, giving children the freedom to investigate the natural world at their own pace. Through hands-on experiences such as exploring natural materials, sensory play, seasonal crafts, storytelling, and outdoor games, children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of the outdoors.

Rooted in Forest School principles, Althorp Nature Explorers encourages learning through play, exploration, and real-world experiences. We value muddy hands, inquisitive minds, and meaningful moments shared between children and their grown-ups in a calm, nurturing outdoor environment.

Sessions change with the seasons, offering something new each time while allowing children the space to revisit favourite activities, develop independence, and grow in confidence. Grown-ups are invited to join in, observe, or simply enjoy time outdoors alongside their child.

Whether it’s splashing in puddles, collecting treasures, creating with natural materials, or warming up together around a story, Althorp Nature Explorers is a place to slow down, connect, and enjoy nature together.

We do not charge for our Forest School sessions, however voluntary donations are warmly welcomed to help fund resources and support the ongoing development of our Forest School spaces.
