Welcome to our kick-wheel throwing and hand-building classes, a slow, hands-on introduction to working with clay. Immerse yourself in the world of clay, engaging with the material through process rather than focusing on fixed outcomes.
Connect with your natural rhythm through the slow, meditative pace of the Leach kick-wheels or explore the fundamentals of hand-building with techniques like pinching, slab-building, coiling, and texturing. Whether you arrive with ideas or are discovering clay for the first time, you’ll be guided to explore them through the material, allowing forms to emerge over time.
Working with clay is a gradual process that requires patience and repetition. A single session offers an introduction to the material, while confidence develops through ongoing practice.
