Calmways Yoga and Wellbeing

Hello and welcome to Calmways Yoga and Wellbeing :)

My classes offer a calming, supportive space where you can move, breathe, unwind and reconnect with yourself.

Each session takes you on a complete journey. We begin with gentle mobility and strengthening movements to help the body feel more open and prepared. From there, we move into a flowing yoga practice that builds warmth, balance and strength, before gradually slowing down into longer-held Yin and restorative poses.
The class finishes with breathwork, guided relaxation and stillness, giving your body and nervous system time to settle.

My teaching blends the energising qualities of dynamic yoga with the slower, more restorative benefits of Yin. This means you can enjoy movement and challenge while also making space for rest, release and recovery.

Yoga is for everyone. You do not need to be especially flexible, experienced or “bendy” to come to class. The practice is not about achieving the perfect posture or making your body look a certain way. It is about learning to listen to yourself, moving in a way that feels supportive and developing a kinder relationship with your body.

Every pose can be adapted, and you are always encouraged to take the option that feels right for you. You can rest when you need to, use props and move at your own pace. There is no pressure to keep up and no expectation that everyone should look the same in a posture.

Breathwork is woven throughout the class to help calm the mind, support the nervous system and deepen your connection with your body. Guided relaxation offers an opportunity to pause fully and leave feeling calmer, grounded and restored.

My own yoga journey began in Melbourne in 2012, during a time when I was searching for ways to heal and reconnect with myself. Yoga became much more than physical movement. It gave me a space to breathe, slow down and find inner calm.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Wise Living Yoga Academy in Thailand in 2014 and have since completed further training in Yin Yoga. Alongside teaching yoga, I work as a mental health trainer, and this deeply influences the way I hold my classes.

My aim is to create a nurturing and non-judgemental space where you can strengthen your body, calm your mind and return to your own sense of balance.

You are welcome exactly as you are.
