Datos

International Tap Dance Day 2026

Join Sole Rebel for a special Footage Night screening of the landmark tap dance documentary No Maps on My Taps as part of our International Tap Dance Day celebrations.

Directed by George T. Nierenberg, this iconic 1979 film celebrates tap dance as a uniquely African American art form and helped spark the tap dance revival of the 1980s.

The evening will include:

  • Screening of the full documentary
  • Informal discussion and reflections
  • A chance to gather together and celebrate the history, music and lineage of tap dance

Whether you are a tap dancer, jazz lover, dance student or simply curious to learn more, all are welcome.
