Cancellation & Refund Policy
Scaffold Training Academy
Our courses involve advance planning, instructor time, training facilities and limited delegate places. For this reason, the following cancellation and transfer policy applies to all course bookings.
Cancellation by the Delegate
- More than 28 days before the course
Cancellations received more than 28 days before the course start date will receive a full refund.
Alternatively, the booking may be transferred to another available course date at no additional charge.
- 15–28 days before the course
Cancellations received between 15 and 28 days before the course start date will be subject to a 25% cancellation charge, with the remaining 75% refunded.
Alternatively, the booking may be transferred to another available course date at no additional charge.
- 8–14 days before the course
Cancellations received between 8 and 14 days before the course start date will be subject to a 50% cancellation charge, with the remaining 50% refunded.
A transfer to another available course date may be offered at our discretion.
- 7 days or less before the course
Cancellations received 7 days or less before the course start date are non-refundable.
However, where possible, a replacement delegate may be substituted, provided the replacement delegate meets all applicable CISRS entry requirements and the necessary information is provided to us before the course starts.
- Non-Attendance
Failure to attend the course, arriving too late to participate, or leaving the course before completion does not qualify for a refund.
If a delegate is unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible. Where practical, we may offer a transfer or allow a suitable replacement delegate to attend.
CISRS Entry Requirements
It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure that the delegate meets the applicable CISRS entry requirements for each relevant before booking.
This includes, where applicable, holding the required CISRS Labourer Card, relevant scaffolding experience, and a valid Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test or CISRS-accepted exemption.
If a delegate is unable to attend because they do not meet the required CISRS entry requirements, this will normally be treated as a cancellation by the delegate and the cancellation terms above will apply.
We strongly recommend checking eligibility with us before making a booking if there is any uncertainty.
Transfer to Another Course Date
Where a transfer is permitted under this policy, the new course date must be agreed with Scaffold Training Academy and is subject to availability.
A transferred booking cannot subsequently be cancelled for a further refund unless otherwise agreed by us.
Cancellation or Rescheduling by Scaffold Training Academy
We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule a course where circumstances make this necessary.
If we cancel or are unable to provide the course on the advertised date, the delegate will be offered:
a transfer to an alternative course date; or
a full refund of the course fee.
Where we cancel or reschedule a course, we will not normally be responsible for any additional costs incurred by the delegate, such as travel, accommodation or loss of earnings.
Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances can arise. In cases involving serious illness, bereavement or other significant unforeseen circumstances, we may consider a transfer or refund outside the standard policy at our discretion.
Evidence may be requested where appropriate.
Refunds
Approved refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method.
Refunds will be processed as soon as reasonably practicable following approval.
This policy does not affect any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
