For four weeks, every Monday in April, we will explore the elements through meditation, breath, movement, philosophy, reflection and different instruments. Whilst all elements will be explored in every session (they are all interconnected after all!), each week will highlight one.
In yogic philosophy, the maha pancha bhutas - five elements of earth, water, fire, air and space - are understood as the fundamental building blocks of both the physical body and the universe. Yoga and Ayurveda have long worked with these elemental forces to support health and awaken the body-mind.
Monday 6th - Earth - roots, abundance, wisdom, presence
Monday 13th - Water - feeling, moving, sensing, pleasure
Monday 20th - Fire - power, purpose, courage, energy
Monday 27th - Air - play, connection, mystery, freedom
Space will hold them all!
