Session content:

Children will learn awesome science with a dollop of craft, a dash of history, a splash of maths, and a large slice of fun thrown in for good measure.
They have fun learning together and being part of a community, lead by the very chatty Dr. Holly.

Each session will have a main learning activity with hands-on experiments. There will be a quick break approximately half-way through the session. Each week is different but often framed around a particular theme. Additional activities could include fact finding treasure hunts, crafting and making, technology challenges, role-play and quizzes. There will also be some Tiger-themed silly quirks to keep things light-hearted.

Dr. Holly has an enhanced DBS certificate. She is a member of the Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership SAFER Programme and The Tutor's Association.

Science Explainer Learning Packs: (these are included in the price of a Home-Ed session ticket)*
Each Science Tigers session has an optional accompanying Science Explainer Learning Pack - these can be purchased in addition to your session tickets. Science Explainers are a great way to recap your Science Tigers session, with loads of information from the topic and instructions on how to do the experiments yourself at home. Science Explainers include Research Challenges, which give you short projects to do, and Knowledge Stretchers, which helps develop knowledge into Key stage 3 and sometimes beyond.

These can be added to your basket as a SCIENCE EXPLAINER LEARNING PACK ticket. They will be delivered to you at your next Science Tigers session. (If you miss one don't worry, they will still be available, after the event, for the rest of the academic year by searching in the ticket listings for August 2027).

Occasionally, you will also be able to purchase small items of specialist experiment equipment to use alongside your Science Explainer - these can be added to your basket as an EQUIPMENT PACK ticket. They will be delivered to you at your next Science Tigers session. (If you miss one don't worry, they will still available, after the event, for the rest of the academic year by searching in the ticket listings for August 2027).
