Young Engineers Regina and Area

Kids build working machines. Then they figure out why they work.

Young Engineers Regina runs after-school and weekend engineering classes for ages 6–12 in Regina and Emerald Park. Every session, each child builds a real mechanism — levers, gears, transmissions, or a robot they then program — and then changes it to see what happens. Nobody watches a demo. Everybody builds.

New here? The first class of any 101 is bookable on its own. Come once, see what your kid does with it, and decide after. If they continue, the first-class fee comes off the block. Returning students, and anyone booking 102 or Advanced, book the full block.

Where: Regina — The Nexus Movement, 1434 Lindsay St (upstairs loft at FLY Fitness). Emerald Park — Aspen Links Country Club, 310 Emerald Park Rd (upstairs room; accessible parking at the top of the driveway).

How it runs: Sections need a minimum of six. If one doesn't reach six after the first class, every family gets first pick of another section or a full refund. Parents are welcome in at the end of class.

Who's teaching: The franchise started because someone who'd spent close to a decade keeping industrial machines running wanted kids to learn how machines think, not just how to follow instructions. That's still the whole point. Our room works for every learning style, and we check in regularly to make sure each child feels safe and comfortable.
