Green Explorers

Green Explorers is a Woodland Play Group and Forest School based in our own woodland at Whitechapel Primary School in Cleckheaton.
We are safe woodland space where families can explore and play, benefiting from being outdoors and having fun together. We are a welcoming non-judgemental space where parents and carers can support each other and make connections.
The group is primarily aimed for preschool aged children, but during holidays and weekends children up to the age of 11 are welcome too.

Woodland Stay and Play, up to 5 years (older children welcome), term-time;
🦔 Monday's 9.45am-11.45am
🐻 Wednesday's 9.45am-11.45am
🐿️ Fridays 9.45am-11.45am

🍄 School Holiday Woodland Playgroup, up to 11 years. 10am-12pm or 1-3pm.

🐾 Family Saturday's Woodland Playgroup, up to 11 years, 10am-12pm.

Here's what to expect at Green Explorers;
🌳 A private woodland space which has been developed as a safe and welcoming space for families.
☕ Hot drinks for everyone (tea, coffee, hot chocolate) plus toasted marshmallows and biscuits around the campfire.
🐌 A wide range of play activities available throughout including; mud kitchen, digging zone, construction role play, minibeast hunting, exploration, swings and hammock.
🖌️ A different craft each week, usually linked to the seasons.
🌞 Seasonal activities and resources appear as the seasons change.

Birthday Parties 🎉
Celebrate in style in our own woods based in Cleckheaton! Have sole use of the space for your child’s birthday party which includes; hotdogs, toasted marshmallows, popcorn and hot chocolate around the fire for all children, hot drinks for all adults, free play activities such as mud kitchen, construction zone, minibeast hunting and den building, a craft of choice and personalised sustainable craft goody bag from Scraptastic for all children to take home.
Parties can be themed with an activity or craft, themes could be; dinosaurs, fairies, pirates, minibeasts, woodland animals etc... If you have an idea, we'll do our best to accommodate it.
All you need to do is bring a cake and candles.
Cost: £180 for up to 15 children, £9 per additional child. £60 deposit upon booking to secure your date and time. Final balance payable 7 days before the date.
(Alternate cost without party bags: £150 for up to 15 children, £7 per additional child).

Green Explorers Group Bookings 🌷
We offer group bookings in the woods. Group bookings are suitable for any groups of children who will attend with adults who take responsibility for their care throughout. Such as; individuals who wish to make a booking together, a group of childminders, existing groups such as guiding and scouting, support groups, nurseries and out of school clubs.
