Joleen Carter is a Scent Imprint for Dogs Level 3 Tracking & Trailing Instructor, having successfully completed the qualification with her own dog, Fuse, under Wesley Visscher. She is currently the only instructor in England to hold this qualification and the only handler in the UK to have achieved it with their own dog.
She is also a Certified K9 Human ID Tracking Handler through K9 Ilma Global Training, following the successful completion of a year-long training programme under Ilkka Hormila.
Joleen’s approach is practical, methodical and focused on developing confidence, understanding and clear communication between dog and handler.
She is an accredited Mantrailing Global Instructor and Assessor (since 2020), delivering Introduction, Progression and Advanced Mantrailing sessions, as well as official Mantrailing Global Assessments.
Alongside her tracking and trailing work, Joleen is a former UK Sniffer Dogs Bronze and Silver Level Scent Detection Instructor and has supported the Detection Dog Trials (DDT) community as both a Host and Judge.
Joleen continues to invest heavily in her own education and professional development, regularly training with leading instructors in the UK and internationally.
