Out of Office
Out of Office is a relaxed professional meet-up for LGBTQ+ people and allies — from senior leaders to those just starting out — working across all sorts of industries.
We host events in Birmingham and Newcastle upon Tyne, and we make a point of moving around. One month it might be a theatre or a concert hall, the next a hotel, or the offices of a respected local business. We deliberately choose venues outside the gay scene — not to make a point, but to gently increase visibility in spaces where LGBTQ+ people aren’t always seen, and should be.
We don’t do speeches or panels. There’s no awkward spotlighting or overthinking. Just name badges (the good kind) and space for conversations between people who might not usually meet — junior team members chatting with managing directors, creatives speaking with policymakers. It’s informal, inclusive, and it works.
Organised by PR consultancy Reeves, and powered by ExecSpeak® and the CBI with regular events in Birmingham and Newcastle upon Tyne. A different venue every time and real conversation, no nonsense.
