Sound bath - Brandon Country Park

Join me for an hour of relaxing sound therapy inside the Old Engine House, in the heart of Brandon Country Park, surrounded by the trees.

During a sound bath you simply lay or sit comfortably and listen to a short, guided meditation followed by the evocative sounds of the instruments, which may transport you to a place of deep rest and relaxation.

Instruments used can include drums, percussion, crystal singing bowls, monochord, gongs, chimes and himalayan singing bowls. These are played in a therapeutic style and order to encourage your brainwaves to slow down, often inducing a deeply restful state similar to meditation or deep relaxation, you may even find that you fall asleep.

Sound therapy can have many wellbeing benefits including stress reduction, better sleep, lowering blood pressure, decreased sensation of pain, and decreased anxiety and depression. Most attendees find the experience relaxing and restful and most commonly people find they sleep really well after the session.

Please note that sound therapy is not suitable if you have epilepsy, a pacemaker fitted, or if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy.

This is an indoor event. The room we have the sound bath in is small and cosy and so at this venue only we cannot accommodate sunloungers or reclinings chairs. If you have limited mobility please contact Nicky to discuss before booking at this venue. Thank you.
