Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
Workplace Requirements (PEI)
An employer must ensure that a workplace first aider holds a valid first aid certificate. The results of a Workplace First Aid Risk assessment will identify what level of certification is required for the workplace. At least one workplace first aider must be available to provide first aid at all times while workers are present.
Completion Requirements:
100% attendance and participation 75% min passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation; and adherence to the Fundamental Principles.
Certification:
3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED
Course Content:
Cancelation and transfers by student must be completed no less than 3 days prior to the start date of the course. If payment is not received 3 days prior to the start date, your registration may be cancelled. Refunds will not be issued without the required notice being given. No shows will be responsible for the full cost of the course.
Please be punctual for your course. If you are more then 15 minutes late for the course you may be turned way, without refund.
If the course is delayed or cancelled due unforeseen circumstances there will be a post on our Facebook page and an email sent. Our office will reach out with instructions on rescheduling.
Students can download the Red Cross first aid app, or the digital version of the Red Cross First Aid Manual at no cost. If you wish to have a hard copy of the first aid manual, they can be purchased for $14.95. You do not need a book for the course.

Practical exercises are part of the certification process and all students must participate to become certified. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please tell one of the instructors when you arrive for class. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements.
