This course provides the Sierra system administrator the opportunity to learn principles of system design and best practices of system management. Also covered will be the tasks to be done in ongoing maintenance of your Sierra system. Included in the course is access to the Advanced System Access and Administration functions within Sierra. The course includes time for individual questions and discussion on ways to accomplish library-specific goals and behavior.
It is recommended that coordinators take this course in conjunction with the Reports and Statistics for System Coordinators class.
Prerequisites:Knowledge of system administration procedures in place at your library and responsibility for making changes to system settings.
