Kara Gray Yoga

For more than 9 years I've been teaching Hatha yoga, practicing many more. Most recently in India I deepened my study of yoga. There I reconnected with the simplicity and depth of yoga in its truest form. Gentle movement, breath, Vedic chanting, and philosophy woven together as a way of life.

My teaching is rooted in the tradition of Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar, where the individual is always placed at the centre of the practice. It's not about performance, or mastering a shape. It's a practice of attention, adapted to the body you have now rather than the one you think you should have.

I still teach the Monday evening class, and run occasional workshops through the year but my main focus going forward is 1:1 work. That's where the most considered work happens. Space to go slowly, ask questions and build something that's actually useful, not just in a session but in the rest of your life too.

Whether you're coming to yoga for the first time, returning after a break, or looking for something a group class can't quite give you, there's a way of working together that suits where you are right now.
