Kenning Park Community Forest School
Kenning Park Forest School is a calm, inclusive outdoor learning space offering bushcraft based sessions, unstructured free play for children, and focused workshops for adults. Set within a peaceful woodland environment, our sessions invite connection, confidence, and curiosity to grow naturally.
Children and young people can take part in practical bushcraft activities such as den building, shelter making, knot tying, simple tool use, fire awareness, and nature crafts. Alongside this, we offer unstructured, child-led free play sessions, allowing children the freedom to explore, regulate, and engage with nature in their own way. These sessions are especially supportive for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing time, space, and choice in a low-pressure environment.
Our experienced practitioner adapts activities to individual needs, creating a safe, nurturing setting where every child feels supported and included.
In addition to children’s sessions, Kenning Park Forest School also offers focused workshops for adults covering bushcraft skills, well-being, and nature connection. These sessions provide hands-on learning opportunities in a relaxed outdoor setting, suitable for beginners and those looking to deepen their skills.
Kenning Park Forest School is a place for children and adults alike to slow down, learn practical skills, and reconnect with the natural world.
