Details

Imbolc marks the quiet turning of the year - the first stirring of spring beneath the soil, the return of light, and the soft awakening of life after winter’s stillness. It is a threshold moment: not quite spring, no longer deep winter.

In this 2-hour Pranayama & Yoga Nidra workshop, we honour this sacred pause and invite the body, breath, and nervous system to gently emerge from hibernation.

We will begin with guided pranayama practices designed to clear stagnation, awaken vitality, and rebalance the subtle body after the darker months. Working with conscious breath, we create space, physically, energetically, and emotionally, allowing fresh Prana to circulate and nourish what is ready to grow.

From here, we will transition into an extended Yoga Nidra practice, a deeply restorative, floor-based meditation that supports profound rest and renewal. Yoga Nidra allows us to plant seeds of intention (sankalpa) in fertile ground, aligning with Imbolc’s themes of purification, clarity, and new beginnings.

No prior experience with pranayama or Yoga Nidra is necessary. This practice is accessible, nourishing, and suitable for all levels. Come as you are.

Instructions

Dear Practitioners,

I hope you are well and are getting ready for your Pranayama afternoon.
I am very excited to be seeing you all here.

This is going to be a 2 hour practice. So I thought I would send you a note for you to prepare for this.

Please choose comfortable clothing for the practice. We will be moving a little but will remain seated for a longer duration. So do bring your layers on.
As the breathwork needs the body to receive it, as much as possible try and have your meal 2 hours before the workshop. Any pranayama practice after digestion will be more effective. If you're hungry, then water will be your friend :) You could also carry a fruit with you if you need to hydrate during the session.
Please bring a journal and a pen to take any notes that you wish to. There will be good information shared.
A full bottle of water.
A bunch of napkins will be handy in case you have a blocked nose as we're going to be clearing the nasal passage a bit in the beginning.
I am looking forward to spending our afternoon together.

See you soon,
Much Love,

Manasi
